LHSC – Module Two Step #11

Staying unhooked
to make decisions
that matter
Getting ‘unhooked’ is an important part of being able
to make focused decisions for your healthcare like the ones
we just discussed.
Learning about your values as a person
also helps with making healthcare decisions that are true
to what matters to you. Values are the qualities and principles
that give your life meaning and that guide you on your journey,
just like a lighthouse guides sailors on the open sea back to shore.
In the last two modules
we worked on separating from
our thoughts by noticing thoughts
and letting them pass by,
and accepting emotions as they come and go,
without getting ‘hooked’ by them.
