LHSC – Module Two Step #3

3/19What is
self-advocating?
In childhood,
it is your parents
or guardians
who typically
speak up
for your needs.
Advocating means
speaking up about
your concerns,
needs and wants.
Now that you are a teenager,
even though your parents
or guardians can be present
with you for the appointments
if you wish, it’s time for you
to start taking on some
of that responsibility.
